About the Centre

Centre for Nepalese Culture - NEPAL CENTRE

The centre was formed in April, 2019 in Kathmandu by Nirmal Kumar Thapa (Writer & Educator) to enhance the wide reach of Nepalese Himalayan culture globally. The cultural reaches of Nepal through the various programs are main activities of the centre.

NEPAL Centre is an international initiation working for the development of Himalayan, Nepalese, Asian culture. The major areas are cultural activities, like music, dance, play, all kind of performing arts, film screening, spiritual lectures and meditation camps. We do specific honors to the change makers and those who are into preservation and development sectors for the betterment of culture.

Activities

Promoting & Celebrating Nepalese Culture

Musical Performance

Classical musical shows, based on raga or ancient folk melody will be present by contemporary artist.

Dances

Nepal is very rich country on several ethnic dances based on Hindu mythology. We do support to organize such kind of performances in our member countries.

Books & Film

We promote literature through book publishing, author discussions, and creative writing camps. Additionally, we support cultural films by organizing screenings and collaborations.

Stage arts & Handicrafts

Plays help convey important subjects, preserving forgotten history and cultural values. We also promote canvas art, sculptures, and hand-carved products worldwide to showcase deep-rooted cultural impact.

Food & Gifts

NEPAL Centre will organize regularly authentic food festivals, and introduce Himalayan, Nepalese and Asian foods during the events or functions. Also display curio or cultural related gift items based in the Himalayan regions.

Honors

We do organize annually The Himalayan Award, Cultural Ambassadors, Appreciations to recognize culture based personalities, supporters of Nepal and who are contributing Nepal and the region’s cultural areas.

Our Initiatives

Showcasing Art, Literature, and Heritage Globally

NEPAL Centre organized an art exhibition of P Singh (2019)in UK, publication of β€œCOVID Kathaharu” an anthology of article, memoir & stories based in Covid-19 pandemic era 2021. The Centre lead noted cultural events in UK’s House of Lords and few other places in London to promote Nepalese tourism by the year of 2020.

Presently, The NEPAL Centre International organizing traditional art exhibition and photography display in international forms and art galleries.
